Since the last few years, the IJB Comfortpaal® (“IJB Comfort Pile” in English) has formed part of the comprehensive package of sustainable products of the IJB Group. This new generation of energy pile, with a strongly improved return, is the answer to the current demand for heating and cooling homes and buildings.

The IJB Comfortpaal® is a pre-tensioned prefabricated concrete pile fitted with a special heat exchanger developed in Switzerland. The heat exchanger is attached across the entire length of the pile and provides an optimal exchange of heat/cold with the ground in a closed system.

Based on the piles plan and the soil survey, our specialists can determine how many Comfort Piles are necessary to obtain an optimum return from the system. The system is calculated using special software.

The extensive production facilities of the IJB Group enable us to make the Comfort Piles in any desired length and diameter. This helps to make the IJB Comfortpaal® suitable for housing and utilities construction, and the pile can also be used in agricultural construction.

Connecting the Comfort Piles is very straightforward. Thanks to our unique production method, the pile can be used both trimmed (cut-off) and untrimmed (not cut-off).
