goals
The IJB Group subscribes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which the 193 member states of the United Nations (VN) have set down as development agenda for the 2015 to 2030 period. This agenda consists of 17 goals. The IJB Group commits itself firmly to goals 3, 8, 9, 12 and 17

We do this through six sustainability objectives:
1: CO2 reduction > 50% CO2 reduction in 2030
2: Use of secondary raw materials
3: Societal costs index (MKI) reduction
4: Accident reduction
5: Nitrogen > research
6: Personnel > sustainable employability
At the end of 2022, these objectives were transformed into concrete plans, for 2023 to begin with. In addition, areas of responsibility were designated for the board and management team in consultation with various staff members of the organisation.
Such areas of responsibility include sustainability projects, further elaboration of the objectives regarding CO2 and Nitrogen, being or becoming a sparring partner in all things concerning foundation constructions, becoming an innovation and co-creation partner for customers, taking care of the local surroundings (e.g. via sponsoring), strategic collaborations, lobbying and contacts with important bodies/business partners, knowledge transfer and preparing sustainability reports.
Setting up an IJB Future Lab is an important aspect of this. The IJB Future Lab is a think tank, consisting of 5 IJB staff, who for one day a week work in a specially fitted out, innovative office at our site in Lelystad. The aim of the Future Lab is to come up with new sustainable and innovative products, services and processes or models.
