Attention to less noise when pile driving

Many of the buildings in Tudor Park Hoofddorp have a pile foundation using piles from the IJB Group. The IJB Group was also asked to supply the pile foundation and to carry out the pile driving for field 36. This time for 54 apartments commissioned by Dura Vermeer.

In advance of this project, acoustic tests were carried out into the possible nuisance caused by the noise during the pile driving operations. Together with the client, a plan of action was conceived to reduce this noise nuisance as much as possible. For this project, Heibedrijf Boer from Meerkerk therefore deployed a sound-absorbing piling adapter and erected a mobile noise barrier.

In the end, the 204 piles of 29×29 cm and 32×32 cm were driven into the ground, totalling 290 m3 – to the full satisfaction of the client and local residents.
