IJB Group first BRL 2800-certified company in the Netherlands

IJB Group: First BRL 2800 Certification!

Processes can be certified if they meet the requirements of the relevant Assessment Guideline (in Dutch: beoordelingsrichtlijnen, BRLs). For the assembly process, this is the “BRL 2800: assembly of constructive prefab concrete elements”. This describes the technical and organisational requirements that the assembly process has to meet.

On 20 July 2023, the IJB Group was the first company in the Netherlands to be officially BRL 2800-certified by Kiwa!
With the impending Dutch Quality Assurance (Building Sector) Act (WKB), this is an excellent step forward for the IJB Group and its assembly partners.
All the assembly work for the prefabricated foundation beams that IJB has carried out in accordance with the relevant guidelines is covered by this certification.

The advantage of the certification for the IJB Group is that less has to be registered in relation to the WKB. The certificate provides sufficient assurance that the technical requirements set down in the standards and regulations are being met.

The advantage of this certification for the contractor is a savings in costs. The quality assurance officer no longer has to evaluate the assembly process.

The above photo shows the certificate being officially presented by Ronald Meijnhardt of Kiwa (left) to the Quality Coordinator Karin de Vries (middle) and Execution Manager Jan Kingma (right), who have supervised the process for the IJB Group.
